Yepes Family

We finally had our first family reunion.  All of the USA family attended.  The whole Gonzalez Family, Manrique Family and the Meckley Family. It was wonderful to have some of our very dedicated Colombian family make the trip all the way to New York, Hernando and Yolanda, Alicia, Pilar, her two daughters. 

Everyone made efforts to transport and accommodate the whole clan. Great food was served, music and dancing, pictures were taken.  Like usual, it's the journey that creates the greatest memories and the closest moments.  When we gathered to pick-up and drop off, or the night before the main gathering, the creating of the family album, the review and changes to our extensive family tree.  Going through the box of pictures.  The comments, the stories, the happy memories of children that are all grown-up.  Remembering with heavy hearts those who are no longer with us.  But in our memories, some great photos, wonderful stories to treasure, we honor them and ourselves.  Our family is wealthy!  Are wealth is in our family.

It's been something we all have wanted to do for years. Today, in honor of Uncle Ciro, who dreamed the biggest and insisted every year, I re-instated this webpage.  Today, one year ago you rested. Not one day has gone by that we have not thought of you.  We honor you and remember you through our dreams and your dreams.
